Thanksgiving … the forgotten holiday … Sandwiched between two holidays which have become focused on receiving (Halloween and Christmas), giving seems to have become obsolete. Is thankfulness no longer an important part of American culture? Have we busied ourselves out of taking the time required to reflect and be thankful? Have we forgotten the art of giving thanks?
Thanksgiving is not so much a holiday as an attitude. What if we changed our holiday noun Thanksgiving into a holiday verb of Thanks Giving? For the next twelve days, before the rush of company, parties and presents begins, let’s take some time to give thanks. Please join us for The Twelve Days of Thanks Giving.
Beginning November 16th, we will present a scripture, a prayer, and a theme for the day. Simply visit our blog to read the daily short post and add your thoughts if you’d like.
Happy Thanks Giving!
